Lowk this helps with dealing with the trauma after they passed. My family had a cat that was 21, and the jokes we’d make helped us deal with her death more easy to handle

I switched jobs so I can work from home and be with my 19 almost 20 year old kitty. She sleeps with me, then gets up and sits at my desk in her special bed or in her sling while I work. My coworkers wait for her to get settled in for our Teams meetings before we can get them started, and she won employee of the year for our department last year lol. I do routine checks to make sure she’s still breathing, just in case. You ain’t leaving me girl!
