So my boyfriend went to the hospital from alcohol issues and he told them we had some NAC and he’ll start taking it to help with his liver, and the nurses in the ER were saying “be careful with NAC” and I was like ?? Isn’t it supposed to help heal your liver? Why would they say this lol 😭

It’s kind of like how they convinced everyone to hate dandelions. Yet they are extremely good and beneficial for our health. But at some point in history everyone collectively said “ew that’s a weed. We need to spray it with chemicals that will cause cancer. But at least our lawn looks green”

I’m not proud but I am a pretty heavy drinker and I take NAC every day and it helps me feel good. I want to drink less but for now where I am at in life, the NAC really helps.
