I was just watching videos learning about bustles and thought “man sure would be nice if they could be color coded somehow”, but I didn’t even think about being color coded underneath!! GENIUS!

This is what I wanted but the seamstress insisted I didn’t and gave me four clear buttons on the outside and four flimsy thread loops to connect it. I had a long sequined and braced train with four layers of fabric. The first loop broke when they bustled it the first time. Two more broke right before the dancing so guess who got to hold her train over her arm all night? ✋🏼

This! This is my fav type of bustle. I don’t like the ones that make the train look like a saggy diaper. A number added would also be great in case reception space is dark. 1 goes with 1. 2 with 2…. 🥰

Alterations Specialist here: The ballroom bustle is an elegant solution for very full or heavy gowns. Since hidden from view It can incorporate a more secure fastener. In my studio we use metal clips and rings. The disadvantages are the cost (300-500) the time and complication it takes to fasten, and the dress is left with a dirt ring at the very least and often terminal damage. I do mention all this to brides and many still chose this option.

Is great and beautiful! Depending on the bride BE AWARE that you’ll have a line across the middle of your train from being on the floor. It can be cleaned by professionals normally; just more info to have!

i did that one! the bubble hem did look a little weird but i had a very long train so lots of fabric had to be stuffed in there haha. but it was 100% the best option cause i wanted to keep that smooth look on the back. took 20 mins and 13 ties to put it up haha
