I took taekwondo and like one of the first things they taught was switching facing so you learn kicks from both sides

My Master always told me do 2x as many with your non-dominant side so you have no weak side!

Dominant side will always train faster, but yes good point training can bridge that gap

Always treated the non-dominant side like a jab. It sets up the dominant side and is useful for backing an opponent up. What it lacks in power it makes up for in speed and coordination. It doesn’t mean I didn’t train to improve it. It just means it had its own strengths just like my left hand.

Can I actually add something... Stance makes a difference. A straight Front leg kick will not generate the same power as the same kick on the back back leg because of momentum from the hips.
With that said, Practice! Love the videos man.

You can do Bulgarians and train both sides. Being able to copy as you do the movement as you do on your opposite side dominant side

agreed. I wanted my left side to be better than my right to throw ppl off bc they wouldn't be expecting it. so I also forced myself to learn a lead body kick without switching

so I'm naturally orthodox but my lead left leg is my power side and I feel so much more comfortable and natural kicking with it than my right ... idk why that is ... it's been that way even when I used to play soccer

No :
We fail to notice he’s making the left side kick with his lead leg as opposed to his rear, typically always generating less power.
