I recently got on a couple of buses only following Google maps asked drivers if I was on the right bus and they couldn't tell me. one even said I'm not from around this area 🙈 I got on the buses and luckily they were the right ones but when the drivers don't know the stop names it does worry you.

Obviously, I’m not a bus driver, but once you’ve done it twice, you know you start to remember it off by heart just like how you would remember your timetable at school or how to get back to your house from the shop

Not stagecoach but a local council owned driver made like 3 mistake turns which meant he had to go the long way back around I had to direct him

first bus give you three routes they train you on they give you less than a week after that you have to learn everything on your own

I knew something like 26 routes when I was in Bristol across Stage and First - the 10 to Thornbury had one corner that I remembered by the red post box on the side of the road!
