I completely agree that Ashitaka was trying to see the world through the eyes of both humans and nature. To me, one of Hayao Miyazaki’s greatest achievements in Princess Mononoke is that he refuses to create a clear-cut villain. Instead, he presents two sides that are equally understandable humanity, striving to survive and progress, and nature, fighting to preserve its existence. That moral ambiguity is precisely what makes the story so powerful and timeless. I rarely leave comments, but this edit genuinely deserved one. It’s absolutely stunning, and I enjoyed every second of it. Amazing job! [happy]

A book exactly like this 📚✨ :
When my sister and I were little, maybe 2002? We were in this rinky dink motel in like Oklahoma and this came on HBO, but the motel didn't actually have the hbo channel so it was just static and you could barely see the picture and it was in Japanese so it was subtitled. But we watched the whole movie like that because we were so captivated 😭 but it took us years and years to find out what the movie had actually been!!! That's my Princess Mononoke story 🥰
