READ THE CAPTION 👇👇 It is well known that one of the trickiest parts of finding good merino items is finding ones that don’t itch. I have tried other brands that people swore by and were highly recommended, only to itch constantly all day, so it goes to show it can really depend person by person! I recently bought a long sleeve turtleneck from @Unbound Merino and it might be the softest merino I’ve found yet. I took it on my trip to Japan and wore it almost everyday for that 2.5 week trip! The bras from @BRANWYN port, which I always prefer. If you’re in the market for something more supportive, I did read that people will double up on them but I don’t have experience with how that would feel. The underwear from Branwyn is not the thinnest fabric, which I don’t find an issue with at all, but if you go on over to Reddit people are very split on if they love it. I tested out a different brand’s underwear that was a thinner fabric, and found it lost it’s shape after 3 wears/washes so I feel like the thicker fabric for the Branwyn is what helps it keep shape. I also have tried a few other companies for merino underwear and could not go a few hours without needing to get it off. I can truly wear the Branwyn all day and forget it’s there. Merino wool IS an investment, and it’s meant to last a while if you care for it properly. Cheaper is NOT always better and you want to be intentional on where the wool is sourced. All the brands I’ve recommended are “muesling free”, which is of top importance. Some articles are not meant to be dried in the dryer and will extend the life you can get out of it. Again, all of this was bought with my own money and I’ve been very intentional on where I choose to purchase these products from! For finding sale items, I bought most of my @smartwoolsocial when REI does sales, or even got a few pieces on their used ReSupply section. I also will check out used gear stores, and found more pieces on sale that were brand new! It seems like some companies will give their surplus items to the gear exchange stores and will sell brand new pieces at a discount. @darntoughvermont #solofemaletraveler #travelhacks #merino #travelclothes
