Most urgent cares can refill it for a short time while you find another doc :) not long term, the UC I work at does a few weeks to a month worth :) just bring your empty bottle !

I have been to Urgent Care and shown the prescription history and said I was unable to get in with my psychiatrist. They gave me 30 days and a refill. Within 60 I got in with a new provider

Call your primary if you have one or a walk in clinic. I accidentally went cold Turkey off lexapro while having other issues with back pain and was straight up tweaking, which is not ideal when experiencing slipped discs

Hi, student pharmacist here!!! If this ever happens, go to the pharmacy and explain the situation, they may be able to get you an emergency fill for a few days. That’ll give you some buffer time to get to an urgent care/telemedicine clinic for a new script!!! ❤️

On another note that is called Patient Abandonment. It is a serious ethics violation and can result on the Dr losing their license if it causes your any harm. Report them to your state's Medical Board please

Go to your pharmacy and ask for an emergency refill and explain the situation. It’s not a controlled substance so they can use their clinical discretion to issue a 3-7 day supply. Then contact your primary care doctor or gynecologist and they should be able to help. If they don’t, do a telemedicine appointment via MDLive or other online service.
