@allijaeger: My dad came down to Baja simply to visit… but he ended up saving a life🐾❤️ We were driving through a long stretch of absolutely nothing, just desert🌵I was editing on my phone, Nick was driving, and then my dad very calmly said, “I just saw a dog.” It was so calm that I almost didn’t believe him. We were in the middle of nowhere. I asked, “Are you sure?” He said, “I think so.” So we turned around and sure enough, there she was!!🥹 A beautiful mama dog, skin and bones, abandoned on the side of the road💔 It was obvious she’d recently had puppies, so we searched for them. Unfortunately, the outcome was devastating (the ones we found were dead and the rest we have to assume were taken by coyotes or something else) and it’s hard not to think that if my dad hadn’t spotted Brynn that day, she would’ve shared the same fate. My dad was only with us for a few more days, but he got to be there for Brynn’s firsts. Her first vet visit, her first bath, her first night sleeping somewhere safe, and her first run down the beach🌊✨ Then it was time for my dad to head home, and we continued Brynn’s journey together! She quickly became one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever rescued. She lit up at the beach, slept like she’d never truly rested before, ate every meal with excitement, and embraced every adventure that came her way! When we shared her sweet face online, her forever mama saw Brynn’s sweet face and just knew she was meant to be part of her family. Today, Brynn is living her best life in Los Angeles with her forever family and her doggy sister🌞 Had my dad not looked out the window that day, had he not spoken up, Brynn’s story would’ve ended very differently. It’s something I’ll probably think about forever. One simple sentence… “I just saw a dog” changed the rest of her life🫶🏼🥲
