I was born in Suizhou, a pretty small fifth-tier city in China. Even so, I honestly think its urban construction is way better than Manchester, the UK’s second-biggest city. Manchester actually looks really run-down to me, while Suizhou’s full of high-rises.

correct me if I'm wrong but does all 50 States in the US have at least 1 city that has skyscrapers? I'd venture to say that most have at least 2 cities that do. So if the comparison is about the development of cities in china and the US, I fail to see your point.
