Ortho experience here! these are called attachments and they’re adding pressure on those teeth to move them. They won’t be there for the whole treatment

Invisalign is NOT a scam. Braces are TERRIBLE. I had only part of my top row and they were the most painful things ever. They shred ur gums and don’t let u eat ANYTHING. So I opted for Invisalign the second time, and they are 100,000,000,000x better😝

I was so shocked when I got my first set done and my mouth was full of attachments! There was no informed consent. I would have just gotten braces with how ridiculous they looked. I really wish there was an opportunity to talk these things out with my provider and maybe discuss a longer treatment course to avoid the appearance of attachments.
