I'm surprised they can't be waterproofed. I would consider getting conformal coating to brush onto the electronics and any connections. Its removable by most electronic shops. I would ask ask around if there is an electronic shop that does conformal dipping. Its much faster and fully encapsulating. Also, just curious, why did they make your prosthetic arm not as long as your other arm?
