Scanttyyyy In my opinion, one of the root causes of Ghana’s waste problem is that our recycling system is either not functioning well or not being actively promoted. Imagine if people in Ghana were made to understand that bringing waste for recycling earns them money. You can only imagine the number of people who would actively go around collecting rubbish. I believe that focusing on practical and realistic policies that fit our local context will go a long way in addressing the issue. Right now, waste is often just moved from one place to another rather than properly managed or converted into value. A structured recycling system with clear incentives could significantly change how we handle sanitation in the country. We have the means to make it possible
