wait wait wait can somone explain to me how he has a proficiency with plate armor ? artificer gets medium armor proficiency that means disadvantage with his current armor so If you wear armor that you lack proficiency with, you have disadvantage on any ability check, saving throw, or Attack roll that involves Strength or Dexterity, and you can’t cast Spells, right ?

If the Game Master allowed a player to end up with three very rare items, one rare item, and one uncommon item, then there is no reason to be surprised if that player becomes overpowered.

I mean, as a high AC enjoyer myself, you can always do area damage or spells that doesnt need atk rolls like saving throws. Still, 30-35 AC it's crazy xd

my paladin has 30 as well but without Haste Spell,Just base AC,if i use shield of Faith i go 32,Smite of Protection(PHB24)gives half cover for a Total of 34,shield of needed for 39 and of hasted 41

To be fair it’s quite useless to have an AC above 25. You are the tank, yeah, but you invested a lot of resources in armor and almost nothing in damage; even considering you can smite as a paladin the enemies are not stupid, after the first time they see you have a basic AC of 30 they focus the mage or try to stun you instead of killing you. A tank should not avoid to be hit, he should protect the party, HUGE difference
