no one addressing the future skills gap that these greedy CEOs are creating. AI is decimating the junior entry level jobs whilst skilled people are the builders and QA guardrails for AI. But when they retire, since there is no path to entry anymore we'll have significant issues of lack of skilled workforce - all for the sake of these fat cats swelling their pockets a little more. See recent example of Ford rehiring skilled quality testers as AI was not up to the job. AI should be seen as an assist aid, not a human replacement. The sooner the bubble bursts the better.

Exp did this to a lot of its workers. We had to “learn and adapt to using AI so it can make our jobs less stressful” but in reality they just used it to lay off employees in droves every 4-6 months. It made it 1000 times more stressful because we were then so short staffed it was unmanageable and everytime they were hosting an all staff meeting the employees would brace to be told we were fired. In 3 years I survived 5 mass layoffs.

Companies did the same thing when they outsourced jobs to other countries. The US employees would have to train their replacements or lose their severance. This is the same thing.

The real question is how will they sustain this "transformation"/transition to AI doing people's jobs. How will people still have money to buy/use their products if all companies are laying off people and replacing them with AI agents. Unlike the Industrial Revolution, when people where being trained to perform tasks in the "new world", there's no such thing with this new transformation they're forcing on everyone
