my therapist calls it giving the memory less places to live. i thought she was insane at first, like moving a lamp was going to fix my life. turns out the replay needs everything to stay exactly the same to keep running. • move the room around so it stops looking like the night you found out • tell the story while walking, sitting still makes the replay louder • write every question you want to ask him on paper and fold it away, most stop mattering by morning • wash the bed into a scent you never shared so the room stops feeling like evidence the bed one sounds fake but it was the first night i actually slept. which one are you trying first #cheatingrecovery #betrayal #healing #betrayaltrauma #infidelityrecovery
