Not to mention all local Goverment buildings close at 4pm. So if you want to take care of anything at the Courthouse you have to take. Vacation day or a 1/2 Day just to get things done. Courthouses should be open from 11-7.

We’re getting a new office building and I’m advocating to our executive director for the public hours to switch from 9-5 to 8-4. This gives any of my staff with littles broader options for childcare, especially pre-post school care, and ensures their families are all home close to the same time.

Yep. I did everything inside and out, worked 50 hours a week, and worked on my masters for years. I probably got 4 hours of sleep a night. I got fat and bitchy.

Sounds like things haven't changed much in many years. I'm sure I'm not the only gen-xer that equally shared ALL of the responsibility, and sometimes did everything because my wife had some serious health issues. So blow it out your ass. It's not just one gender doing it all anymore.
