@unfilteredsoccer: If America’s best athletes played soccer, could they win the World Cup? Jason Kelce subscribes to this a little bit but acknowledges that soccer is more of a skill game. #Soccer #soccertiktok #footballtiktok #usmnt
You basically have to start playing soccer at 6 to become a top player nothing like that exist in the nfl

In soccer, if you are not a professional or have someone looking at you to sign you by the age of 15, you will not become a professional soccer player..18 is the last chance

One of the reasons the US has major issues, is we are still locked into this mentality that size and strength are the number one priority for every sport. And that’s just not the case for Soccer. I truly believe that players like Messi, and Maradona, would have been skipped over in the United States. The number one thing that we should be focused on for our players is Ball control and Soccer IQ. But again, we would rather focus on size and strength. I played all the way through the ODP national pool from U14-U17, before leaving to Spain on a professional contract. This mentality was very much as prevalent through the 80s and 90s just as much as it is now. Until we fix this, we will continue to have issues. Players have to be developed and identified from youth. We cannot just throw an athlete in late in the game like we do in football. Like what he’s saying here

I mean NFL rookies are usually around 22-23 years old, that is already considered old in football where most talented players will be in the 1st team and playing for the national team at around 18 years old.

Using your hands to control something comes naturally, learning to control an object with your feet is much harder snd requires 15+ years to become average.

Controlling stuff with your feet is far harder than your hands. You naturally learn to control stuff with your hands but not your feet.

Los niños en España empiezan a competir desde muy pequeños. Hay torneos con niños de 7 años y a esa edad el físico no es tan importante. Se desarrollan técnicamente y tácticamente.

If the USMNT made the final, it could hurt the NFL's popularity among younger people. A lot of parents would probably sign their kids up for soccer academies. One of the great things about soccer is that you don't have to be tall or big to become a pro, since players come in all shapes and sizes.

Soccer ain't about strength, it's about skills and IQ. You run into somebody causes a foul and you'd be sent outta game.
