I really like the Rain Wilds/Dragon books. I think a lot of Hobb readers unfairly rate them low because of a lack of Fitz. All the Fitz books are great too, of course, but both Live Ships and Rain Wilds are excellent Fantasy books

I loved the first and second book like a ton! I was scared going in cause everyone says it’s boring but I had a great time. The last book was kinda ehh but loved regardless.

I found the first book in this series had a different feel to it. There wasn't anything i could put my finger on, it just felt like the magic wasn't there, if you know what i mean. Dragon Haven felt more like Robin Hobb and the subsequent books just get better.

I’m just now finding out these are included in The Realm of the Elderlings. I read the back of the first book and thought it was a separate world
