Not only this but he addressees the destruction of a family relationship in a capitalist system. The family relationship becomes a money relationship. Which is clearly seen through the reaction of his family when he no longer has a job

Kafka didn’t talk about capitalism in the metamorphosis, he talked about a men that saw his role in life more important that him being alive, if you liked the metamorphosis i personally suggest to read the death of Ivan Ilic, a book i really liked

Everyone saying communism but what about capitalism with rules that are a bit more fair. Maybe just allow people to afford things without working 50+ hours and not be able to buy a house or basic necessities? Take money out of politics. No more super pacts. It can work if it’s not completely lopsided. I’m amazed at the amount of people who just say “and what?”. It’s not that complex.

Absurdism was my take; I didn’t really get a capitalistic read, not to say there isn’t a valid interpretation there; themes of power were there; I got more psychological and absurdist themes than economic.
