@justa.humangirl: *Trigger Warning* In Irish folklore, white butterflies are often believed to carry the souls or spirits of the dead, especially those of children or loved ones who have passed away. Seeing one was considered a gentle sign that a departed soul was nearby, watching over the living or bringing comfort and reassurance rather than fear. Because of this belief, white butterflies were traditionally treated with kindness and never deliberately harmed. Their appearance could symbolise peace, hope, remembrance, and the enduring connection between the living and those who have gone before. @Blindboyboatclub taught me this years ago, and I have held onto it so tightly. For me this is a beautiful sign 🤍🦋 #NatureHeals #IrishMythology #HopeYoureOk #therapytok
