Sarasota Police pulled an 8-year-old off the water after spotting him riding a jet ski by himself, then went looking for his parents. The whole stop is on the department's own camera. When an officer tracks down the mom, she does not deny it. "That was your son? Yes, on the jet ski." Asked if she thought he was allowed out there alone, she says, "yeah, but I just recently moved." She adds the family has had the kid on jet skis "for the last few years" and calls him "very proficient." A solo 8-year-old, an open lake, and a cop following the boat back to shore. Everyone's going to have an opinion on this one.
