The UK does not meet the standards to join the Euro: Price Stability: Inflation must not exceed 1.5% above the rate of the three best-performing EU member states. Sound Public Finances: The annual government deficit must not exceed 3% of GDP, and overall government debt must be kept below 60% of GDP (or show a satisfactory downward trend). Exchange Rate Stability: The UK must participate in the Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM II) for at least two years without severe tensions or devaluing the pound against the Euro. Long-term Interest Rates: Long-term interest rates must not exceed by more than 2% those of the three best-performing EU member states in terms of price stability… Bulgaria has qualified, we do not… let that sink in

Yes we WOULD be forced to join the euro... it's in the LISBON TREATY whether you like that or not. We would NOT have an opt out.

Yes it would... Even Scotland was told if they join they'd have to give up the pound for Euro....Anyone saying different is lieing... Question is. Why ???

Tbh this is pure nostalgia. Who cares? We won’t see cash soon. I haven’t used cash in ages, barely remember what a euro bill looks like, simply because it’s become excessively difficult to find an atm. Wherever we are, whatever currency we’ll be using, governments everywhere are going to force digital money upon us. That is more worrying than the name of the currency.
