People need to understand that it’s better to have your writing be imperfect than it is to use AI. I’d much rather read a fic that was obviously written by a human and has human mistakes

I've seen people saying that the using the AI detection skin is like a witch hunt against authors who use AI and that some authors only use it a bit for this or that, but from what I understand about the coding of the skin is that it can only detect of something was generated by Claude AI if it has literally just been copy and pasted from it. Meaning that if someone were to, for example, generate a prompt and build a fic off of that it wouldnt be detected by the skin. So imo if someone were to really only use AI a 'little bit' then they could at least put in enough effort to write it in their own words and not just copy and paste it (I don't condone the use of it at all btw FUCK AI)
