Upcycling Another Hoodie – Nike Edition! 🧵✨ First things first—check for any stains, holes, or other damage. Luckily, this hoodie was in great shape with no flaws, so I could go straight into designing! I took inspiration from my blue collection GAP hoodie (you can check that reel on my page). Although the logos were different sizes, I still had to freehand the pattern. Step 1: Measuring the Logo I started by measuring the Nike center logo and built the whole design around it. After sketching the design on paper, I traced the cutout onto my fabric and cut it out. I used an old thrifted hoodie as backing for the design fabric. Step 2: Preparing the Design I pinned the fabric design to the backing and sewed them together using a zigzag stitch to prevent fraying. Step 3: Attaching the Design Next, I pinned the completed design to the inner side of the hoodie and sewed around the edges. Then, I cut out the design from the good side of the hoodie, revealing the reverse appliqué magic. Voila! Step 4: Reworking the Sleeves Now for the sleeves! First, I ripped open the original seams to lay the arms flat. I followed the same process as with the chest—creating a design, backing it, and sewing it on. Once that was done, I reattached the sleeves with a mix of straight and zigzag stitches for durability. sew upcycle rework repeat ♻️ • • • • • #reworkedclothing #reworkedclothes #reworkedfashion #reworkedvintage #sustainablefashion #1of1 #vintagenike #nikevintage #reworkedhoodie #nikesecond #nikethrift #reworked #upcycle #upcycled #upcycledclothing #upcycledfashion #upcyclefashion #SmallBusiness #howto #DIY #lifehacks #craftsmanship
