I think you have a misconception of what a social construct is. The same reasons you can make for virginity being a social construct can be equally applied towards body count. The act itself exists but the prescriptions and judgments made based of the number itself is dictated by social norms. There has also been no scientific evidence to support the claim that “body count” predicts the level of a person’s capacity to love or ability to maintain a healthy relationship on its own.

Exactly, what matters isn't the number, it's how those "bodies" came to be. Like for me it's better to have 20 bodies but each was a somewhat commuted relationship that maybe just didn't work out, than 5 bodies that were just random hookups with people you barely knew
