Make sure to ask your nurse in postpartum for lactation consultant information! They can give you a form with local or in hospital numbers to reach out to if you ever need extra help, question, or support for all things feeding! 🫶🏼

You won’t get her Birth Certificate or SS card there but you WILL get all the info to get it. And I took all mine with me to go get the Birth Certificate. They didn’t even look at it 🙃 all my hard work to keep up, and it’s all in their database without my organization 😂 now her BC & SS card are together. You will get manuals for you and baby! You are mostly covered before—read it, it will make you feel better. 🩷 good luck! Take care of YOU and baby after she gets here, it will all get done!

Add nursing/feeding log and b diaper change log. Logging in hospital and first DR appointment to see how much they sre eating and pooping. After hospital switch to a shared app with your husband to track for the first couple weeks. You will forgot how long you have gone in between feeds since you are in the newborn days.

I wish I would've thought of this! Would've been so helpful. Maybe a spot for discharge papers and discharge instructions in case they put you on any medication. My discharge medication instructions were necessary for several weeks after.

Yes, when you get discharged they feed you so much information on a bunch of stuff! So helpful to keep all that in one place

You will also be getting bills eventually and I remember having to create online Accounts through the hospital/pediatrician/ so you may want to write down username passwords in case someone else needs to log on and it’s not saved on your phone!

This is a great idea. I was on the c-section table and they asked me the pediatricians name. I gave the wrong one but we ended up loving her.

Download the Nara baby app! So much easier to track BF and wet / poopy diapers! Bring it with you to your appt with pediatrician because they will ask and you’ll be so tired you won’t remember 🥰

One thing I loved that we did, is we took our baby book and the L&D nurse did our son’s footprints in the book for us! So take anything you want foot printed and they may do it for you!

You also likely won't get physical medical records, most will be digital. Whoever holds the insurance, their HR portal to add her once she's born. It's something dad can do typically in downtime.

My husband used the footprints image and made stationary for me. I wrote thank you notes with it.
