i feel u and i totally understand why u see it that way , but a mom or dad or family being sad is just natural cuz they just want the best for their kid u know , and actually, islam teaches that parents must love and support their kids no matter what, its written in the quran, if some families act bad, its more of a personal/people problem than the religion itself, I hope it helps :)
