it’s honestly just mean at this point. i see so many people mocking them and it just breaks my heart because hiplets are humans too and they don't deserve the stigma. like, i get it. we all have our preferences and obviously it’s not what most of us are naturally drawn to. but that doesn’t mean we need to make them feel less-than. whenever i see a hiplet just out there owning it, i actually think it’s so fierce? they always have such huge, loud personalities and so much extra energy to bring to the table, and i just love that for them. you can tell they just want to be treated like everyone else. it’s just sad because they already have to try so much harder to command respect in a normal setting. so when they overcompensate or get a little feisty about things, we really just need to give them grace. my current girlfriend isn't a hiplet, but i’ve totally talked to them before and they’re honestly some of the sweetest girls once you just look past it. anyway, just be kind. they're doing the absolute best they can with what they have.
