@eugenyx: From the eyes of Darius III and his Persians, Alexander 'the Great' was more so 'the Accursed', conquering their vast Achaemenid Empire, burning down Persepolis, and wiping out countless souls in the process. To them, Alexander and his Greek Macedonians were the worst thing that could've happened. History is a coin, and there's always 2 sides to a story. #History #edit #fyp #ancient#warfare #alexanderthegreat #europe #ancientgreece

Moeha. :

Bro thought conquests were sunshine and rainbows 😭

☦ 𝕯𝖞𝖑𝖆𝖓 ☦ :

the greeks fucking HATED Alexander for what he did, the Romans idolized him. every conquerer gets idolized eventually, no matter how horrific they were.

ethansnn :

I don’t think he was exceptionally cruel relative to other conquerors. He honored Darius with a royal funeral and cared for his family members. As for the commoner Persian, of course some suffered during his conquest, but if his armies didn’t pass through your lands then your life as a commoner probably didn’t change at all. And even if they did, you might lose your food (especially later in the conquest) but if your town or city wasn’t openly hostile than you would keep your lives

₍ᐢ..ᐢ₎♡ :

this is genuinely so cool, i’ve never seen anyone do this

m4rt1n :

he even took his wife

He was the devil. Never thought of that especially when u know the holy nature of Persian religion and beliefs of duality if good and evil

This is such a great perspective to bring light too. Nobody talks about this side of Acient war. Land, freedom, and peace were always being threatened to anyone outside of Alexander’s empire.

What is this song choice

Frank :

Yeah that probably wouldn’t have been very fun ngl.
