We bought plexiglass! Got it fitted to the window just a little bit smaller than the window measurements and sealed it with duct tape. Plexiglass is working perfectly for us in Croatia. And we have a much bigger account unit. Tube is bigger. So more heat output. If you want to be able to see out the window, try it
