@cassyaller_bakes: It was my first time trying this method and it definitely won’t be my last! I was amazed how soft and delicious it was✨. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ Soft, Fluffy & Sweet Sourdough Sandwich Bread Tangzhong Mixture ingredients/instructions In a small saucepan whisk together: • 20g flour (I used all purpose) • 100g milk Over medium heat until it’s like a mashed potato or pudding like consistency. Let cool. Bread Dough ingredients: • 100g active sourdough starter • Tangzhong mixture • 220g warm milk • 50g honey or sugar • 60g softened butter • 1 tbsp olive oil • 500g all-purpose flour • 10g salt • 1 tsp Vanilla extract (optional) 1. Combine: starter, warm milk, honey/sugar and tangshong mixture, flour and salt. Mix until shaggy. 2. Knead in the softened butter and olive oil into the dough for 10-15 minutes. Dough should be smooth, stretchy and slightly tacky but not sticky and dough should feel “pillowy soft” 3. Cover the dough and let it rise/double in size 6-8 hours at room temperature. 4. Shape the dough. (You can choose to shape it as a loaf or you can cut the dough into 3 equal parts and roll each section into a ball and place them into the loaf pan for the final rise, this makes it more like a pull apart bread.) 5. Second/Final Rise 2-4 hours. 6. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes 7. Right after it comes out of oven brush it with Butter and let bread cool.
