a friend of mine used to work with a dude who got a mcchicken for lunch before work everyday. when he clocked in he'd put in the note thing whether or not the mcchicken was good that day, not realizing that they were sent to higher management, he was just doing it to be funny. one day the district manager was at the store and said to the guy "Stop telling me about your mcchickens. I don't give a fuck about the mcchickens." 😭

I use to work a job that required us to say why we’re taking sick hours. I use to always say “because I am sick” but got informed by HR they wanted details to determine if I’m sick enough for coverage??? Crazy, so I did exactly that and explained in as much detail as physically possible. After like 2 or 3 times they told me to go back to just saying I’m sick.

My old job used biometrics to clock in but instead of a thumb print it used our face. You needed a managers face to approve early clock-ins so day one I walked into the office, grabbed the picture of the general manager with his family, held it up to the camera, and it worked. From then on whenever my general manager didn’t wanna get up he would just hand me that picture to approve clock ins.

i put “ask key-holder” like 5-6 times on a “why are you clocking out so late” prompt, my boss did not like that, but i also didn’t like the key holder allowing people to shop up to an hour after we closed, then taking another hour if not longer to drop tills

there is a note section for requesting paid time off at my job and I have been told multiple times that I can leave it blank but I ALWAYS give an honest answer. sometimes I just write "please and thank you".
