5 years ago today I got the keys to my first property at 23🥹🏡 The 2nd slide is a journal entry I wrote in 2018 while I was deep in debt, discouraged by how my life had turned out compared to what I’d dreamed, and was witnessing my family breaking down. The very things that were going wrong in my life became the very things that fuelled me to achieve what looked impossible at the time : My amazing parents were about to get divorced so I was determined not to go back to my family home . (Any kids who’ve witnessed their parents divorcing know exactly what I’m talking about🫠.) At the same time renting was frustrating as I was working just to pay bills while still in debt, with nothing to show for the hard work I’d also grown up watching @mrkate and wanted to be just like her because I had so much love for transforming spaces and DIYs ,But I couldn’t really do that to the extent I wanted while living in a rental. So I set a goal with my crazy faith which was supposed to be the solution to these problems and was determined to achieve it because… what can’t my God do? While I didn’t get my keys at 22 like I’d planned And I didn’t buy in Swindon - I did get my 3-bedroom semi-detached house 2 months after my 23rd birthday,in the best location I could have found , and by God ‘s grace other people now pay my mortgage for me too. Most importantly I get to share my hobby of all the DIYs I’m doing to turn my house to a home with yall🥹🥹 I don’t know who needs to hear this, but the very thing you’re frustrated about and that’s going wrong in your life can become the very thing that fuels your hunger for more and better,if you give it to God and let Him turn it around for your good.As we are entering the 2nd half of the year-write those visions down and all the desires of your heart and see what God can do.Partner with him ,Do your part (faith without works is dead) and leave the rest to God . ‘…Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.
