@dr.ilancohen: Can you go blind from cataract surgery? Yes, you can. I have performed tens of thousands of these surgeries and I will not lie to you. But almost no one asks the right question before stepping into that operating room. Listen to this before you or someone you love has cataract surgery. Share this. It could matter more than you think. #cataractsurgery #eyehealth #eyesurgeon #visionfacts #ophthalmology

hello, this isnt related but at night i see a bunch of like rainbow static im not sure how to explain it, and then when i look around the space i look at goes really dark and if i keep looking at it more of my vision goes really dark, its like it spreads around my eyesight but then when i look somewhere else it disappears but happens again, this only happens at night. it still happens when i close my eyes but then i start to see a bunch of patterns like moving around, this is so hard to explain but it only randomly happens its never constant but it happens every day at night. my vision also has rainbow like static in the morning or something, also when i stand up to fast or stand up my vision will start to like fade and darken and i hear a sound in my ears until it goes away, it also makes it quite hard to balance until its gone.

I had retinal tear in 1 eye due to gel separation, repared with laser. The other eye gel separation has not finished yet after 3 yrs. Will cataract surgery increase the likelihood of retinal tear in the eye that gel separation has not completed?

Hello Doctor. Pls im 18 years old nd ive been wearing glasses for about 2 yrs, but they don’t seem to be helping. My left eye is always blurry, even when I just wake up or haven’t used my phone at all. My right eye sees clearly. If I use my phone, laptop, or read for a long time, both eyes become blurry and I get headaches.
I’ve been to several eye doctors nd i have changed my glasses many times, but the problem is still there. I’m worried because nothing seems to be working, could you please help me out

I had standard lenses inserted that were covered by Medicare. One technician during my preop exams felt I had a mild astigmatism. (I've never been told that before) Everyone else examining me disagreed. Post op, I now see orange halos around the orange display light from my alarm clock or green halos around the greenish night lights in a dark room. No issue looking at the moon or stars. I haven't tried driving at night, so I'm not sure if the halos would appear around headlights or streetlights. I relayed this info during my post op checks and was told it could go away, so just wait until I have my next checkup. Honestly, I don't want to go through the surgery again unless I have no choice. I have adrenal cortex disease and every component of the eye drops is red-flagged as contraindicated. I was allowed to shorten my post op schedule and my eyes healed well. Any advice?
