It’s actually not because of that but rather that way back the year started with March and the beginning of the year was with Spring. Until the Church changed it so that Jesuses birth makes the year end.

actually it wasn't Cesar. July was Quintillis before they just renamed it. no because of a revolution in the spanish inquisition January and February got moved from the end of the year to the beginning. That messed it up it was long before Cesar even existed.
