I have wanted my whole life to visit Egypt. Too bad I’m a white westerner …..

And to think that he was not that loved by his people and died as a sickly boy child! Life works in mysterious ways

What if we ruined his afterlife by putting him on display?

He’d probably prefer someone switched the lights off so he can rest in dark

I lived in Luxor for a few years and just loved it. The first time I visited the Valley of the Kings was many years ago and it was much nicer than it is now, less touristy etc. Back then you walked into the valley and it felt so strange especially going into Tutankhamen’s tomb. His is the only tomb with the actual mummy still in it as when they removed it he started to deteriorate so had to be put back. Luxor is an outside museum but Cairo was brilliant standing in front of the gold death mask was wonderful. I’ve recently been to the Ramses exhibition in London and trying to explain the difference to my partner was really hard.

He walked among the living, dreamed at night, had fears and insecurities, went to the bathroom to relieve himself, he was like all of us, and yet thousands of years later his physical form still remains in this world. It's incredible.

lo que no entiendo es que si en un cementerio levantas un tumba es profanación,y con ellos hicieron lo que les dió la gana, menos dejarlos descansar en paz. Estoy de acuerdo que es historia, pero es profanación

Tut's tomb is very small...always thought it was bigger because it's one of the more famous tombs...but the tombs of all the Ramseses are way bigger and way more beautiful with wall art.
