@xoxojenise: If you deal with seborrheic dermatitis and frequently wear quickweaves, this might be helpful! I started noticing my flare-ups were always worse when wearing quickweaves, especially around the crown area. After reading the ingredients in traditional bond protectants, I realized they contain ingredients that are known irritants, such as alcohol. I swapped my traditional bond protectant to Bold Hold Liquid Gold because it’s water-based and alcohol-free, and it’s made SUCH a difference for my scalp. Although it its intended use isn’t for quickweaves, it acts as a shield and dries much faster (iykyk). 😩 I apply the Bold Hold first, make sure it’s dry, then apply the Ebin Extra Protection Spray on top. The spray does contain alcohol, but having the Bold Hold as a layer between my natural hair and the spray seems to help prevent irritation.
