Team Black should immediately give Ulf and Hugh leading roles tied to the common folk. Have Ulf be a “Speaker of the Throne”, where he working with Mysaria become like a mini-propaganda machine explaining why she is the right ruler. And Hugh should be given projects tied to helping the common folk, creating orphanages, feeding houses for the poorest etc. That’s how they could ensure their loyalty.

Ulf and Hugh were literally right idc. Daemon talks down to them when he literally has a smaller dragon. Vermithor could easily kill Caraxes.

this is definitely very unimportant but i HATE when people say that silverwing just let the first person she saw claim her. Yes she's docile but dragons and their riders have real bonds, she would not have picked a rider she didn't deem worthy.

And also let’s not pretend that, had they won the war, the targs would have totally gotten rid of the dragonseeds. Even if they had contributed to winning, they would be seen as liabilities to the royal family. The dragons are monopolized by them for a reason

Both vermithor and sliverwing were extremely formidable, had the blacks succeeded without a hitch the dragon seeds would be seen as liability, and then most likely killed

Ulf’s response to the potential, meaningless knighthood was perfect. “Men would have to show me respect, cuz of the big f—n dragon!” What does that tell us? If Hugh and Ulf aren’t appreciated for risking their lives for Rhaenyra, then they will move on. Can we even blame them??

People’s classism is jumping out full force with the dragon seeds. I’d also argue they also don’t like them as they don’t seem Ulf and Hugh attractive and racism on Addams account. I’ve enjoyed Ulfs character so far.

even Sheepstealer brought Rhaena to a nest and fed her like a baby bird. I do really like the way Daemon scolded them but from being on the same level with him, outside of "being king". no one else has treated them anywhere near being equals. you can see the city watch commander on him and how he gained so much respect from common men. Ulf is gonna keep that slap with him, along with all the other disrespect, but I like that you can tell Hugh recognized it. (and I like how Daemon seems very curious about Hugh)
