Coming from a data scientist: AI is an umbrella term, generative AI (GenAI) is a very specific thing that is under the AI umbrella. Other things that fall under AI (Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, etc) have been around for decades (machine learning for like 80 years) and don’t use the stupid amount of water that GenAI does

AI (usually just a machine learning program) as an assistive tool is good. It's really good at checking scans and X-rays for things human eyes miss and as tools for people with disabilities. If it is helping someone complete a task without replacing the actual human element, we chillin. Gen-AI is a completely different thing.

Not all AI is horrible bc not all of it uses up the resources and such generative ai does. newsflash ALOT of online programming, like the app youre using rn, uses AI, just not the generative kind everyone thinks abt. Anyways I hope you find that brush! I get shaky sometimes and ik how much it sucks when ur lines just dont act right, so i cant imagine how that is all the time. either way im sure ur art is amazing nonetheless

If you use spell check you're using an AI algorithm. It's not Gen Ai. But it's Ai. If you use a talk to text program to write, you are using regular AI. Not Gen Ai. Let's all learn the difference together.

If ai can run locally, and is just a tool then there is nothing wrong with it. AI is a very loose term and has been around since computers have existed. Generative AI is the problem.
