I usually disagree with you i do think korra as a show is fairly inferior to ATLA and can be mediocre at times, but korra is a lot of things BUT a mary sue things dont usually go her way easily

Aang had the one overarching arc so we never really saw any long term consequences until the 1st season of LoK, meanwhile Kora has 4 different arcs so we get to see the progression of her actions

aang didn't run away when he found out that he was the avatar. he ran away when he thought he would be separated from his best friend, monk gyatso. is it that hard to get his character right? and did you ever stop to think that maybe aang's consequences to his actions weren't as bad as korra's is because aang actually made good, well thought decisions?
