It’s the hard water girl. I grew up in an area with super soft water, and as soon as I moved for college and was dealing with super hard water, my dandruff was embarrassingly atrocious

It’s a mix of the hard water and the chlorine in city water. Both cause extreme dryness and irritation to your scalp, stripping away the natural oils. A shower filter can’t remove hardness from water, but you can find ones with carbon filtration that help reduce the chlorine! Look up Weddell Duo shower filters, I would recommend that and consistent filter changes :)

if regular dandruff shampoo isn’t working, go to your derm and they can prescribe you one! should be gone after a few weeks!

Head and shoulders baby! 1-2 a week and boom. It works wonders and still use my expensive shampoo/conditioner on top of that.

use cold water on ur hair only and let it AIR DRY. sleeping with wet hair will cause dandruff. also use a nice moisturizing shampoo. but seriously hot water will dry it out and cause dandruff. also maybe try glycolic acid.

I think my dry shampoo caused mine but nizoral anti dandruff shampoo and a detox scalp scrub got rid of mine for good!!!🤍 now I just do the scrub once a month
