Both of them are in the House of Representatives, which is the federal government. Sanctuary policies are established by state, city, and local governments. It would make more sense for them to be debating something they can directly influence.

Both Laken Riley and s Sheridan Gorman deserve justice and their assaulted should be persecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Which they were/are being. Both are arrested. Renee Good and Alex Pretti were shot by American ice agents who barely got a slap on the wrist and are still employed. There are American criminals who unalive and shoot up grocery store’s. But they don’t worry about mass shootings unless it’s done by a foreigner or a trans person.
