@cbsnews: California congressional candidate and state Sen. Scott Wiener was forced to leave a pro-trans rights march on Friday after being followed and berated by protesters over his stance on the Israel-Hamas conflict. Wiener, who is Jewish, told CBS News he feels that the protesters were "lying about my record on Gaza," and said he believes Israel's military actions have amounted to genocide. CBS News' @jared_ochacher has more on the incident. #news #sanfrancisco #california #israel #gaza

Tell me if you’d miss this 👇 6 months ago it was hard to imagine how we’d make the move abroad work and 3 months in, we just wished we made the move sooner. Truly the best decision we made for OUR FAMILY (might not be your thing, and that’s fine!) but we didn’t know what we’d be missing… 🫶 good and bad moments with family. We knew it would be hard, but not even the move from NYC to FL prepared me for being this far away. Distance definitely affects the dynamic 🍍🍓 over processed food + expensive organic options. Its crazy how most of the world has banned chemicals that the U.S. uses in foods 🤢 Now, we have more bloated and heavy feeling after eating meats, cheeses, or breads anymore! 👩🏻‍💻 hustle culture and no work/life balance. Instead, we have the time to eat breakfast as a family, go on walks after school and dinner + family time. Family and well being comes first, work can wait 🛍️ overconsumption + convenience culture. No big box stores like Target and Walmart so no endless aisles to “browse,” no Amazon means we’re intentional on what we buy with no instant gratification (we need to need it), value on taking care of what we have and mending when things break ✏️📓 schools that are SAFE and cultivate creativity, not standardized tests. Kids aren’t taught to fit in, they’re taught to be curious and creative. No fear that there will be a mass 🔫 and above all, understanding the privilege we have to be able to move our family away for a better life ❤️ tell me if you agree? Reasons to add? Follow @casabolanos for more moving abroad as a family ✈️ - Moving abroad, immigrants, family abroad #movingabroad #lifeinamerica #familyabroad, #worldschoolingfamily #livingabroadwithkids
