Actually no - the walk to the sea is when they learn where they were born and where they need to return to lay eggs. So it actually prevents them from laying eggs

It May save them time, but they're going to not know where to lay their eggs in the future. Because they have to lay their eggs above the high water mark in order for their eggs to survive., and that knowledge comes from their memories of making the trek from above the high water mark to the sea line, without that memory. There's a hi probability they won't their eggs properly

many sea turtle experts prefer to release hatchlings on the sand near the waterline rather than straight into deep water .That allows the turtles to make the crawl themselves while still protecting them from unnecessary hazards. The crawl to the ocean is an important part for the babies It helps strengthen their muscles and it helps them to learn how to survive .

You’re not supposed to do that they’re supposed to walk to the water themselves to develop memory so they could always find their way back

Turtle babies should be set free on the beach and let them run to the sea, otherwise when they grow up they can't find the way back to lay eggs.
