This isn’t the penalty kickers fault at all, Germany failed. You had 90 minutes + stoppage time to win. The team as a whole failed and it was very sad to see Germany go.

i mainly blame the coach who didn’t have the full lineup of penalty takers prepped. the players shouldn’t have to be discussing on the field who’s next or be able to chicken out, coach should have told them exactly what number they are even if it goes past the first 5.

There should be a roster of players who are selected to take penalties prior to the game starting that way there’s no halfassery happening. Don’t ask, select the players and that’s that.
