Calcium and scar like tissue are added, narrowing the artery and reducing blood flow. This process is called atherosclerosis. Unlike HDL, LDL does not remove cholesterol. Its role becomes harmful when levels are high or when arteries are already damaged. This is why controlling LDL is central to preventing heart attacks and strokes. #health #healthy
