@michealmcmoments: Keith Urban wrote “We Go Back” in 2020 with BREDLAND, Sam Sumser, and Sam Small. However, in recent interviews, he revealed that the song felt like it had a Michael McDonald sized hole in it — citing his sound had a sense of nostalgia. While writing the song, he did an impression of McDonald singing the chorus, feeling like it was almost instrumental to the piece’s success. He’d later get in contact with McDonald to get him to record the chorus and harmonies and BAM! We end up with this absolute banger.
