Those beluga whales have been rescued and wouldn’t be able to live in the wild. The Georgia aquarium is known for being heavily involved in conservation and rehabilitation for these animals.

If it makes you feel any better, everything you saw in the aquarium was rescued and would NOT survive in the wild. The GA Aquarium takes such great care of their aqua residents and loves them well. ❤️

I always feel kinda bad too, but they aren't like sea world. They rescue their animals and really care for them. Everything is in their best interest. Georgia aquarium really puts in a huge effort for wildlife.

Don’t put them in the same seat as Sea World. The Georgia aquarium is very much involved in conservation . Most of the animals they have are rescues and taken in from places and are non releasable
