My confession ocd was bad as a child. And I always thought it was so bizarre that I would have to touch every toy in the store so they didn’t get their feelings for it. It took up so much in my childhood. It’s like the only thing I can remember.

Repeating myself multiple times until it sounded “right”, toe tapping in the car to a specific made up pattern, redoing my homework over and over again because my handwriting wasn’t “right” (I went through erasers on a pencil SO fast) and so much more 😖 I’m 35 and just got diagnosed. It’s been such a struggle for my whole life

If I brushed up on/ ran into an object i’d always have to “pet” it after because if not I thought something bad would happen, not sure if thats something someone else experienced

I couldn't eat cereal if parts of the dried up milk on the cap got in my bowl and I couldn't eat my cereal if I saw a tiny tiny dust spec in the bowl I used to investigate my cup or bowl before using it then washing it before using it incase I saw something no one else did

i remember first learning what syllables were so i counted the syllables in every single person name i knew but i had more, so i literally had guilt for months something bad was gonna happen to me

It is so exhausting to finally understand as an adult now . Nobody understood and I’ve always desperately wanted someone to understand me and that’s because I didn’t understand myself. I’ve chosen to stay misunderstood and stopped fighting to be understood, a blessing in disguise
